The Parish Council
usually meets at 7.00 pm on the third Thursday of every month (except February, June, August and November).
Agendas are posted on the Parish Council notice boards (outside the Reading Room in Main Street and on the hill in Church Brough) at least three clear working days before meetings.
Minutes of meetings are available by prior arrangement with the Parish Clerk. All meetings are open to the public and before each meeting a public participation session is available for residents to raise matters of concern. The Annual General Meeting and the Annual Parish Meeting are usually held on the same night as the Parish Council meeting in May each year.

How to find Brough
Brough sits on the A66, almost equidistant from Scotch Corner to the East and Penrith to the West, offering access to the M1 and M6 respectively. As such, it is easily accessible from all corners of the United Kingdom.
Sitting in the Upper Eden Valley with the Howgills to the south, Yorkshire Dales to the east, Pennines to the north and The Lake District to the west, Brough is the perfect hub to visit all four areas. Two million visitors a year can't be wrong! Of course, you can avoid the crowds and just enjoy the serene beauty of one of the UK's best kept secrets. It's not called Eden without reason.
If you look at the whole country from the top of Scotland to the South Coast, and from the North Sea to the Irish Sea, Brough is almost in the middle. It's central location means Brough is convenient from north-south and east-west.
